Bed & Breakfast Groot Maarslag is to be found on a
terp, between Mensingeweer and Schouwerzijl, on the bank of what used to
be the river Hunze. The recently restored characteristic farm dates back
to 1828 and is in the middle of an area of outstanding cultural and historical
value. It’s the ideal base for a discovery packed trip through the
famous
landscape of Groningen.
The surroundings were a major source of
inspiration for the painters of ‘the Ploeg’.

their own ambience. Both rooms and the apartment have their own modern
